Description: Lemons come from a small tree that grows up to 16 or 17 feet high and produces blossoms and fruit all year. Its leaves are egg-shaped, smooth, and deep green with a slightly scalloped edge. About 675 to 1,400 lemons (including peels) are needed to yield 1 pound of oil, depending on the time of harvest.

Uses: Lemon essential oil has a clean, refreshing and uplifting scent. Used in a diffuser, lemon will purify stale air and act as a disinfectant. Research has also shown lemon essential oil to enhance the ability to concentrate. Lemon oil is also a very good stimulant of the bodys own immune system.

Aromatherapy influences: Promotes clarity of thought and enhances concentration.

Mixes well with: Bergamot, Lime Orange and Mandarin.

Shodhana essential oils are for external use only, do not take internally. For Massage, it is recommended you use with a carrier oil.

Safety Information: Lemon Essential Oil is non-toxic, but may cause skin irritation in some. Lemon is also phototoxic and should be avoided prior to exposure to direct sunlight. Avoid during pregnancy.
