Description: Lemon verbena is a perennial shrub or subshrub growing to 5-6 feet high. The long glossy, pointed leaves are slightly rough to the touch and emit a powerful scent reminiscent of lemon when bruised.

Uses: Lemon verbena has anti-Candida albicans activity. Moderate antioxidant supplementation with lemon verbena extract protects neutrophils against oxidative damage, decreasing the signs of muscular damage in chronic running exercise without blocking the cellular adaptation to exercise.

Aromatherapy influences: It is known to relieve tiredness, overcome listlessness and apathy, and help the brain to focus.

Mixes well with: lemon, elemi, neroli and palmarosa.

Shodhana essential oils are for external use only, do not take internally. For Massage, it is recommended you use with a carrier oil.
